Cherry Picked is a fun yet sweet story of following your dreams and seeing just exactly where life takes you.
Chase Harding finds himself in NYC as the new rookie on his favorite hockey team. He is finally playing on the same ice as his idols. Nikki Jennings has come to the Big Apple to join the NYC Ballet Company. From a small town, she is ready to say yes to life and experience everything she possible can.
At a chance encounter, Chase and Nikki bond over their love for Agatha Christie, and a whirlwind romance begins. (Seriously, how cute is it that a rough and tough hockey player loves Agatha Christie mysteries!) Chase and Nikki explore all that NYC has to offer, spending all of their time together, quickly becoming very serious with one another. Reality soon comes crashing in however, when the hockey season begins and Nikki begins her season with the ballet. Will their new relationship be able to survive what life throws their way?
I enjoyed how idealistic these characters were. They know what they wanted early in life and worked hard to get to where they are. Kristen Hope Mazzola did a great job of creating a whirl wind romance for this young couple that was easy to get caught up in. I enjoyed experiencing all of Nikki’s “firsts” in the big city and how the couple handled the real-life issues tossed their way. It was also fabulous seeing how things end up in the future with the epilogue! I only wish it was a bit longer so we could have had more time with these characters.

One chance encounter – that’s all it took.
Nikki Jennings is dancing her way into the big time. She has gone from a shy, small town girl to a New York City Ballet star. She had everything to offer the world and she was taking it by storm.
Chase Harding is a cocky jock that has always gotten exactly what he’s wanted. Most recently, the rookie spot on his dream hockey team. He has everything he could ever want until he meets Nikki. She won’t give him the time of day. He won’t take no for an answer.
Will Chase be able to score the v-card of his latest prospect or is he going to shoot and miss for the first time in his life?
