Mickey Miller has given readers a fun and romantic tale of friends to lovers.
Having struggled with depression her whole life, Amy decides to try striking out on her own for a while to see if a change of scenery helps her deal with her disease. She decides going to Spain as an exchange student for a semester may just do the trick of giving her the independence and new experiences she craves.
While in Spain, Amy meets Chandler. Casanova among the ladies and a king of the basketball court. He also happens to be her host brother. Even though their attraction is off the charts, Amy quickly “friend zones” Chandler, deciding she can’t deal with having her heart broken, and knowing he is truly a player. When the semester is over, both go their separate ways.
Flash forward five years. Amy, having just ended yet another bad and unfulfilling relationship finds herself, just a bit drunk, and on a plane back to Barcelona. Fate has it that Chandler is also on the plane. He has made his home in Barcelona in the European basketball league and has continued his Casanova ways since he and Amy parted five years ago.
After catching up and realizing their attraction for one another is still off the charts, both decide to give themselves one week of fun and romance with no strings attached. However, can they live up to this bargain as emotions start flying right along with their explosive chemistry?
I really loved the Casanova Experience. It was a fun and flirty read, but the characters and plot also held a lot of depth. Both Amy and Chandler struggle with real life issues, such as depression and abandonment. They are also both successful and intelligent individuals that find themselves missing the one thing in life that can truly make them happy . . . a significant other willing to put them first. Their banter when together is great and feels real . . .I could totally imagine joking around with my SO talking the same way. Their week in Spain is intense as their relationship skyrockets and it was a joy to read as they struggle to accept whether or not they can forgive each other’s pasts and move forward or if one week was all their relationship was meant to be.
The Cassanova Experience was friends to lovers, second chances and simply fabulous! 5 stars!
About the Book:
It was supposed to be just sex.
Thoroughly satisfying, mind blowing, sweaty, animalistic love making.
Just for one week, though.
Amy and I both agree to the no strings attached arrangement. I give her the best week of her life, show her what it’s like to be with a real man. And since she’s my old best friend, I go a step further and give her the full Casanova Experience.
Dancing out on the town. I’m wining and dining her. Giving her VIP tickets to my basketball games.
She thinks I’m just doing her a favor to make up for her past five years of shitty relationships. She thinks I haven’t been obsessing over her for the last five years. And she also thinks I can never commit to a woman.
Now she’s telling me I’m the best she’s ever had.
There’s just one problem. Thought we have a history as friends, she has no idea about my past. You don’t become Barcelona’s biggest Casanova without your fair share of skeletons in the closet.
And I sure as hell have mine.
If I’m going to keep Amy, we are both in for one hell of a ride.
Buckle your seatbelts, folks. We’re about to encounter some turbulence in this flight to Europe.
