~Book Review~ “Suddenly Bound” by J A Low

The boys of Dirty Texas are back, and this time, it is Axel Taylor who meets his match.

A player with tastes that are on the kinky side, Axel is not looking to settle down.  He has everything he could possibly want, friends, family, wealth, a successful rock band and now a record label.  However, seeing bandmates Evan and Christian settle down with wives and families of their own has him contemplating more and what really is missing from his life.

Olivia Pearce is also settling down.  However, hers is not a love match.  To preserve her family’s legacy, she has agreed to an arranged marriage.  The man her family has picked is a notorious playboy who haslet Olivia know that he will not be faithful and plans to continue his partying ways across Europe even once they are married.  Knowing she is about to be trapped for life in a loveless marriage, Olivia pines for one weekend of pure pleasure and bliss before giving up on her dreams of a future filled with love.

When Axel and Olivia come together at the Paradise Club, both are immediately attracted to one another.  Axel is more than willing to show the beautiful Olivia all the delights the club has to offer and gives her a weekend full of desire and fantasy that neither can quite forget and both are left wanting more from the relationship that simply is not meant to be.

JA Low has done it again with Suddenly Bound.  It is always a fun ride watching the boys of Dirty Texas meet their match and go down fighting for their soul mate.  I loved watching Olivia blossom once she started chasing and giving in to her desires rather than focusing on being the good girl and savior of her family.  Seeing Axel’s soft and romantic side was also a blast as he shows shy and inexperienced Olivia just how much she truly has to offer a man.  It was also fun watching Axel have to chase after a woman for the first time in his life.

The rest of the bandmates and their crew add humor and banter.  I love watching Evan and Christian go from playboy rock stars to loving dads.  Derrick has also become a favorite character of mine and always adds not only an immense humor factor but also a fierceness as a best friend and protector to all the ladies in the Dirty Texas extended family.  I am hoping there is a book in his future!

This is a great read.  While it could be read as a standalone, reading the previous books in the series will add a lot of depth and relationship background to all the characters.  Dirty Texas feels like family and I can’t wait to see which bandmate is up next in the series!

5 stars!
