What are you currently reading?

Currently, I’m reading an ARC of A Life No Less Than Perfect by Angela K. Parker.  This is Angela’s debut novel so I am pretty excited to get a first look at a brand new author.  So far the story seems very sweet with characters in their early twenties who are just beginning a new relationship.  At least one has a tragic event in their recent past that affects how they view the world and there are hints that something is going on with the second character as well . . . Guess I will need to keep reading and keep you posted!

What did you recently finish reading?

 

This past weekend I finished two great books. One Choice, by KL Donn is the second book in her Hogan Brother’s series and packed a great punch!  Levi is one heck of an alpha male who knows what he wants and will do everything he can to get it.  Of course, I also fell in love with Hayes.  Her character is unbelievably strong and sassy, yet vulnerable and innocent at the same time . . . a perfect match for Levi.  KL’s books always leave me with all the warm and fuzzy feels at the end of the book and One Choice was no exception!

Hilltops 1: Destiny by Faith Starr was my other recently finished read.  Faith Starr was a new to me writer and I have fallen in love!  This book was a slow burning romance with some super hot love scenes.  I love strong and intelligent female leads, and this book knocked that out of the park with grad student and psychology intern Jordin Turner.  Of course, I also adore the dominant alpha male, and Noah Dorian fill the bill quite nicely!  These two have amazing banter and I really enjoyed that because the book was longer in length, the author was really able to take her time in developing their relationship.    I was really excited to see that there is already a second book in the series because I definitely want more from this author.

There are so many great releases on the horizon, it’s hard to choose what is next, although I can guarantee that all three of my picks will be read within the next week!

Jennifer Domenico’s Reckless Devotion: Book 2 released on Monday.  I am super excited this is on my kindle because I have been dying to know what Jennifer has in store for Mia and Gabriel!  The first book’s intensity blew me away, so I have really high expectations for this one.

Revenge by Lexi Blake released on Tuesday!  Drew’s book is finally up and I just know that Shelby is going to throw quite the kink in his plans for revenge on those who murdered his parents more than twenty years ago.  I admit to happily one-clicking anything Lexi Blake writes, and I have been eagerly awaiting watching Drew Lawless be brought to his knees by a woman!

The last on my TBR for this week is Scott Hildreth’s “His Rules”.  We have no exact release date yet, although Scott promises it will be this week.  I am eagerly awaiting Detective Marc Watson’s book to drop as I have been waiting for this character’s back story through the entire Filthy F*ckers series!  I know it’s going to be twisted, hot and completely unexpected, and I can’t wait!
