~Book Review & Release Blitz~ “Perfect Strangers” by Madison Street

Dylan literally runs into Major as she is trying to catch the last train out of NYC back to her home town in Connecticut.  She has had one hell of a day and is beyond frazzled when the handsome stranger steps in to save the day.  They share a few laughs, a delicious meal and one unforgettable night before circumstances cause Dylan to run without saying goodbye.

Six years later, Dylan runs back into Major by chance.  He is still a handsome stranger, but she holds the ultimate secret that will either bring them together or tear them apart forever.

Perfect Strangers was a sweet story.  I enjoyed the chemistry and romance between Dylan and Major when they first meet.  However, for me, the plot jump of six years and some of Dylan’s back story just did not help me feel connected to the characters and did not feel plausible.  I feel that the happy ever after almost came a bit too easily for this couple considering the circumstances and wish the book had been a bit longer so the author could have added that type of depth.

Short, sweet and easy read.  3.5 stars.

Six years ago, I met a mystery.

Smooth, sexy, and confident, his arms wrapped around me on that cold winter night. A deep, rugged voice embedded itself in my soul. Dark eyes stared deep into mine, begging me to stay.

Six years ago, I ran and didn’t look back.

The memory gives me chills to this day. And as I close my eyes, I imagine him whispering sweet nothings to me. That perfect night together, just one night, is our secret; an unspoken memory two strangers share.

Now, my mystery becomes a reality. One that faces me, head on, and stares with those same dark eyes, speaking with that same deep voice. A mystery I cannot escape, one the shadows won’t let me hide from anymore.

Once he finds out my secret, it will shatter his heart.

He should have stayed away.
