That’s What He Said is a weekly meme hosted by @Chapter Break. Here’s the deal: every Thursday, post a line from your book boyfriend to his heroine. Keep in mind, these are direct quotes from dialog in the books. The quote doesn’t have to be romantic – it can be anything spoken by a book boyfriend. He is also a doting spouse and father and would die to protect the people he cares about.
As a lover of sarcasm, I live for Ian’s dialogue throughout the Masters & Mercenaries (and spin off) series . . . Ian has a way of showing up when least expected and saving the day. However, my quote for today is not the typical Ian Taggart that most of the world experiences.
After re-connecting with Charlotte, his wife he thought was dead for the past five year’s, Ian begs the following of her:
For a man who masks caring in sarcasm, he really lays his heart and soul on the line to Charlotte with this quote. He knows he will never survive her leaving him again and needs her to understand the power she holds over him.
