What happens when a city woman meets the king of the jungle? Cory Cyr has your answer!
Remmy Winters has survived heartbreak and a brutal divorce. She has worked hard to get where she is and has earned her position as CEO of the Oriell Foundation, the largest health foundation in the world. She has also grown to care greatly for Constantine Oriell . . . creator of the Oriell Foundation and terminally ill with cancer. Their friendship has become priceless to Remmy and she promises to follow Constantine’s wishes to bring his estranged son home to take over the foundation before he dies.
Jackson Oriell has spent the last six years in the African jungle caring for it’s inhabitants. While he does want to spend time with his dying father, he has no plans of staying in the United States. All he needs is to ensure his research funding so that he can head back to Africa.
First Impressions say a lot. And the first meeting between Jackson and Remmy has sparks and tempers flaring. Remmy sees Jackson as a Neanderthal with a man bun. Jackson sees Remmy as a judgmental spitfire. However, their attraction is undeniable. While neither is willing to give in at first, fate has other plans for the couple.
Their age difference as well as their positions within the Oriell Foundation are definite stumbling blocks. But what truly has the power to bring them down is the secret from Jackson’s past that is about to change everything. Will Remmy and Jackson’s new relationship be able to survive their pasts?
Cory Cyr has an amazing skill for writing older woman / younger man romances and Jacked Off is no exception. Remmy has been through relationship hell and is in no way ready to deal with the likes of Jackson and his Alpha ways . . . yet she can’t seem to get him off of her mind. Jackson has no intentions of staying in Texas, however, Remmy has him considering a long term stay in Texas or making a long distance relationship work.
This is a fun romance with some depth to the plot. Jackson’s secret throws quite the punch and changes the direction of the story in a heartbeat! It’s intense and unexpected and forces both Jackson and Remmy to re-evaluate what they want and need in their relationship and in their lives.
5 stars for the King of the Jungle and his Queen for anyone who likes their romance a bit on the wild side!
