SPOOKY HALLOWEEN TAG
The Spooky Halloween Tag was created by Simply Kenna. I was tagged by Alecia from The Staircase Reader.
I love Fall and the month of October. Sweatshirt weather, the changing leaves, my daughter’s birthday, and of course Halloween. I love seeing kids dressed up in costume and having a blast as well as all of the yummy candy that comes with Trick or Treating!
Let’s get started.
Favorite Horror or Halloween Themed song?
Definitely the Time Warp from The Rocky Horror Picture Show! It’s a cult classic!
Name something you wouldn’t want to run into in a dark forest or in an abandoned building.
Good grief . . . probably a scary clown or giant spider or someone chasing me with a chainsaw . . . those used to scare the crap out of me in haunted houses!
Have you ever played with a Ouija Board?
Yes! I remember it fondly from my 16th birthday party when a group of us were totally convinced and freaked ourselves out to the point of seeking out my parents. LOL
Favorite horror monster or villain?
I mean, if we are talking scariest? Or favorite Halloween creepy that terrifies me? Michael Myers from Halloween.
The creepiest thing that’s ever happened while you were alone?
When I was in college, our theater was haunted. I always felt like I was being watched while in there. One day, while I was totally alone in the building, I was “pushed” into the room we kept our choir tuxes / dresses in. While not locked, the door was stuck closed until other people started showing up for practice.
If you were dared to spend the night in a “haunted house”, would you do it?
Honestly, probably not. I would be way to freaked out! If I didn’t have to be alone . . . maybe . . .
Are you superstitious?
I am, but not to the point it interrupts my life or anything like that.
Do you ever see figures in your peripheral vision?
Nope! And, I am just fine with that.
Which urban legend scares you the most?
We had a local Urban Legend of the Green Man who lives in the tunnels in Western, Pennsylvania. As a kid, this was terrifying! Check out more info here: https://www.atlasobscura.com/places/green-man-s-tunnel.
Do you prefer gore or thrillers?
Gore is just gross, but a thriller can be terrifying . . . think Silence of the Lambs!
Do you believe in multiple dimensions or worlds?
Sure, we have way to many unexplained phenomena.
Ever made a potion of any sort?
Do margaritas count?
Do you get scared easily?
Yes! I am easily scared and creeped out. Especially if I am home alone or driving late at night alone.
Have you ever played Bloody Mary?
Yes – just like any other teenage girl who ever attended a sleepover!
Do you believe in demons/the devil?
Yes. If you believe in good, I think there has to be evil to balance it out.
You’re home alone but you hear footsteps in your house, what do you do?
Grab my cell phone and my gun. Then hide and dial 911!
If you got trapped in one scary movie, which would you choose?
Nice try . . . not happening! LOL
If you could only wear one Halloween costume for the rest of your life, what would you be?
Is there a cozy pajama lady costume? I could totally go for that!
Would you ever go to a graveyard at night?
We used to live directly across from a graveyard, so I have been in one at night . . . although it was creepy! It was a beautiful spot to walk during the day, though.
In a zombie apocalypse what is your weapon of choice?
My spouse – he would kick ass! Although I guess I would want some sort of a shotgun so I can shoot and beat someone with it?
Would you rather go to a Halloween party or go trick or treating?
As a kid, definitely Trick or Treating for candy! As an adult, a party would be fun.
You’re in a horror movie. Are you the final girl, the first to die, the comic relief, the skeptic, the smart one, or the killer?
Well, I hope I’d be the smart one, but I don’t do well in a crisis or at the sight of blood so I am sure I would panic and probably end up being one of the first ones to go . . .
Do you have to watch something happy after watching a horror movie so you can go to sleep?
Not necessarily, but I don’t typically go straight to bed. I have a harder time waking up from a nightmare and going back to sleep. I need to make sure I am fully awake or I tend to fall back into the dream.
Whilst watching scary movies, are you the person who yells at the characters, the person with their eyes covered the whole time, or the person who falls asleep?
I tend to hide and cringe. I may also yell at the dummies who either go back into the house or separate from their friends . . .
Are you the one who gets scared, or the one who does the scaring?
I am easy to scare, but I do like sneaking up on the unsuspecting kiddo and yell boo!
Favorite scary book?
The Shining by Stephen King. The book is simply terrifying!
How old were you when you saw your first horror movie?
Elementary aged. I wasn’t supposed to be watching, buy my parents had on Salem’s Lot.
What was your first Halloween costume?
I can’t remember back that far . . . I think a cowgirl?
What are you going to be for Halloween this year?
I have a Halloween t-shirt with a pumpkin face on it . . . does that count? I also have a Halloween headband with spider legs . . . not very exciting, I know. But, my daughter is going as Wonder Woman!
If you could have a spooky Halloween pet (black cat, owl, bat, rat, wolf), what would you pick?
A pet wolf would be pretty darn amazing! Can it be a shifter that turns into a hot and hunky man as well?!
This tag was a lot of fun to do and anyone who loves Halloween should definitely consider themselves tagged and tackle this list!
