Night Walker  Day Dreamer  Shadow Chaser

Undeadly Secrets Series by Aaron L. Speer

I have always loved paranormal romance, but this series totally took me by surprise and blew me away!  The plot is complex and explosive, the characters are full of depth and relatable, and I was literally on the edge of my seat needing to know what would happen next.

Here are my reviews for these books:

“Night Walker” (Undeadly Secrets Book 1)

“Day Dreamer” (Undeadly Secrets Book 2)

“Shadow Chaser” (Undeadly Secrets Book 3)

Riches to Rags

Riches to Rags by Casey L. Bond

I am a lover of fairy tales and this re-telling of the classic Cinderella story was simply breathtaking! While there are definite themes that carry through the book that resonate to the original story, this re-telling is extremely unique and original.  I was absolutely thrilled to learn she has additional books in the works to make this a series!

My review:  “Riches to Rags”

Miss Fix-It

Miss Fix-It by Emma Hart

Miss Fix-It was an unexpected surprise for me. I was expecting a fun and comedic romp, which it was. But, it was so much more!  These characters really felt like family, and I haven’t enjoyed young children in a romance this much in a very long time.  Emma Hart really did a great job of capturing the daily ins and outs of single parenting in a humorous and captivating way.

My review:  “Miss Fix-It”

Giving It Up  Pin Me Down  Kiss Me Now

Brewhouse Series by Holly Dodd

I loved Holly Dodd’s Brewhouse series, especially book 3!  These books follow college friends who are graduating and are trying to find their way in the real world.  Each book is unique to a couple, but they all tie together beautifully as their storylines are interwoven.

Here are my reviews:

“Giving It Up”

“Pin Me Down”

“Kiss Me Now”

Bottoms Up

Bottoms Up by Holly Renee

This book followed the handsome guy next door falling for the not so confident girl trope. However, it was beautifully done and the characters truly leapt off of the page.  I also love how the author tackled the main characters self esteem issues over issues that most readers have faced at one time or another.

My review:  “Bottoms Up”

Next to Me  Wong Then Right  True to You

A Love Happens Series by Jodi Watters

This series is simply breathtaking!  It follows the lives of former military team mates now working for a private security company as they fall in love.  Love isn’t easy in these books, however, and each relationship journey these couples are taken on by the author is truly epic.  You’ll need a bottle of wine, some chocolates and a box of tissues for these books as you’ll laugh, cry and maybe even want to throw your reading device as you fall in love right along with these characters.

My reviews:

“Next to Me” (A Love Happens Novel Book 1)

“Wrong then Right” (A Love Happens Novel Book 2)

“True to You” (A Love Happens Novel Book 3)

temptation's inferno

Temptation’s Inferno by Kat Mizera

While this is part of the Inferno Series, it can easily be read as a standalone.  This is a hockey romance, but truly exemplifies Love is Love when two teammates fall for one another.  When the main character is outed in a tragic way, it’s amazing to watch his teammates and friends rally around him.  Temptation’s Inferno, by Kat Mizera, is one of the hottest books I have ever read. That being said, it also has an extremely uplifting and positive message that was beautiful enough to bring me to tears.

My review: “Temptation’s Inferno”

The Friar

The Friar by Samantha A Cole

Samantha A Cole is best known for her BDSM and Romantic Suspense books.  However, she truly stepped out of her comfort zone and wrote this stunning contemporary romance story! The Friar is a well written mix of romance, sassy banter, heart breaking moments and thrills.  The characters felt so real and were very easy to fall in love with.

My review:  “The Friar”

Sweet Dreams

Sweet Dreams by T.J. Spade

Sweet Dreams was a great crime drama with a seriously creepy serial killer, a sassy and intelligent heroine and great characters.  The plot was unique and the author did an amazing job of building up to the big reveal of who the Nightmare Killer was . . . I was literally kept guessing throughout the book.  You’ll need to keep the lights on with this one!

My review: “Sweet Dreams: A Tucker PI Novel”

Only for You

Only for You by Melissa Foster

Only for You is a military romance.  It really gave me all the feels! I laughed, I cried (seriously, make sure you have tissues handy when reading) I felt hope and love and despair . . . it’s truly a beautiful emotional roller-coaster, just like real life!  The connections and banter between everyone is written so genuinely that it was easy to become immersed in this story and feel every emotion the characters go through as it happens.

My review: “Only for You”

Bastards and Whiskey  Villains and Vodka

Top Shelf Series by Alta Hensley

For those of you who like a darker romance, Alta Hensley’s Top Shelf series really fits the bill!  These books definitely border on the taboo.  The characters are anything but vanilla and I found this series to be deliciously dark and decadent.  I am thrilled to know she has more books planned for this series in 2018!

My reviews:

“Bastards & Whiskey” Top Shelf Book 1

“Villains & Vodka” Top Shelf Book 2

Dear Killian  Dear Gage  Dear Maverick

Dear Desmond

Love Letters Series by KL Donn

These books are all short stories based on love letters sent back and forth between a deployed military member and a pen pal.  They are insta-love at its best!  Maybe it’s because they remind me of my own love story with my soldier that I identify with these books so much, but they are truly feel good reads with a guaranteed happy ever after.

My reviews:

“Dear Killian” (Love Letters Book 1)

“Dear Gage” (Love Letters Book 2)

“Dear Maverick” (Love Letters Book 3)

“Dear Desmond” (Love Letters Book 4)
