That’s What He Said Thursday – Ezra McDuff – “Hissy Fit” by Lani Lynn Vale

That’s What He Said is a weekly meme hosted by @Chapter Break. Here’s the deal: every Thursday, post a line from your book boyfriend to his heroine. Keep in mind, these are direct quotes from dialog in the books. The quote doesn’t have to be romantic – it can be anything spoken by a book boyfriend. Be sure to link up over at Chapter Break as well!

Raleigh may be the klutziest and most accident prone human being to ever live.  She’s also had a crush on her colleague, Ezra, since they were in high school.   He never noticed anything about her then or now, until she knocks over a display in Target that  sends him flying and causes Raleigh to get a bloody nose from his flying box of condoms.

Small town hero and high school coach Ezra never wanted to be in a serious relationship.  He’s happy playing the field and coaching. But when Raleigh literally knocks him on his behind, he becomes fascinated by her . . . and begins feeling a bit possessive and protective.  He also finds himself wondering how he’s never noticed her before now that she is all he can see in front of him.

Ezra makes Raleigh, who has felt invisible her entire life, feel like she is the center of his entire world!

Hissy Fit by Lani Lynn Vale

He is the one that never looks her way.

He is handsome and strong.

He is rough around the edges and mean.

He is everything she’s ever wanted.

He doesn’t even know she exists.

Her life is a joke.

She doesn’t step on cracks in the sidewalk.

She laughs at inappropriate times.

She talks when she shouldn’t.

She is clumsy and trips on air.

She is finally on his radar.

God help her now.
