My Review:
Jennifer Hayes spends her life trying to make her late father proud while caring for her ailing mother and younger sister. She lives for her family. She always plays by the rules, until the night she encounters a man she she just can’t resist.
Marcus Wright is a business man through and through. He never mixes business and pleasure, but when his newest acquisition stands him up, he can’t resist the striking woman sitting at the bar flirting with him. He doesn’t do relationships, but one night stands are another story. Except, this time, he should have walked away as soon as he learned her name . . . he just didn’t have the strength to.
Cue an awkward start to a new business partnership. Both Jennifer and Marcus know they need to stick to a working relationship only, but neither can focus. And, ignoring what they should do is way more fun. But, what happens when Jennifer decides she needs and wants more from Marcus than he is willing to give? And, when Marcus realizes that maybe he wants more as well?
Mr. One-Night Stand was a fun blurred lines office romance. I really loved that Jennifer was such as strong and take charge woman and that she was so incredibly business savvy. I loved even more that Marcus was totally attracted to her brain and business acumen just as much as he was to her body. And, poor Marcus really had no idea what hit him from the first flirtation he shared with Jennifer . . .he never stood a chance and it was fun to watch this playboy fall.
While there really wasn’t anything unexpected with the plot, it had some incredibly steamy moments as well as some sweet interactions between Marcus and Jennifer as well as with their respective families. 4 stars.
