~Book Review~ “Icing” by Jami Davenport

My Review:

Icing was a fantastic opposites attract romance in Jami Davenport’s Scoring series.

Steele is a play by the rules kind of guy.  He sees the world as black or white, right or wrong.  Discipline and routine are what he lives by.  Hyacinth is a free spirit.  She sees the world in every shade of color that exists.  Her causes and making a difference in the world mean everything to her.  Complete opposites, they don’t even like each other . . . but that doesn’t stop them from wanting each other!  Can Cin loosen Steele up and help him see there is more to life?  Can Steele help Cin understand that compromise can help her causes?

I loved the fire between Steele and Cin in this story!  They were two very strong and stubborn characters which often led to explosiveness in more than one way which was a lot of fun.  Their personalities were combustible together and I loved watching them both learn to give and take.  And Kaden’s Puck Brother’s punishment was pretty epic!  4 stars

This fourth book in “The Scoring Series” features Steele Bailey.

Steele:

I’m a second-year hockey player for the Seattle Sockeyes. Imagine my shock when I return from a trip to find my former roommate has transferred his lease to my nemesis. She’s so annoying I can’t stand to be in the same room with her. She pushes all my buttons and is my exact opposite. Despite it all, I want to rip off her clothes and make mad passionate love to her. What is wrong with me?

Hyacinth:

I’m the free-spirited daughter of a radical activist. I’ve marched in my share of protests, and saving the world is my life’s mission, but lately I’m wondering where my life is headed. When I’m offered the chance to share the lease on a fancy condo only two blocks from my bartending job, I jump on it. Like with most things, this one is too good to be true. My roommate is a finicky, annoying AF hot hockey player I’ve butted heads with in the past who thinks my causes are ridiculous. He pushes all my buttons, and I never expected to fall for him, but I did.

About the Author:

USA Today Bestselling Author Jami Davenport writes sexy contemporary and sports romances, including her two new indie endeavors: the Game On in Seattle Series and the Madrona Island Series. Jami’s new releases consistently rank in the top fifty on the sports romance and sports genre lists on Amazon, and she has hit the Amazon top hundred authors list in both contemporary romance and genre fiction multiple times. Jami ranked Number Seven on Kobo’s Top Ten Most Completed Authors, an honor bestowed on the year’s “most engaging” authors based on an average page completion rate by their readers.

Jami lives on a small farm near Puget Sound with her Green Beret-turned-plumber husband, a Newfoundland cross with a tennis ball fetish, a prince disguised as an orange tabby cat, and an opinionated Hanoverian mare.

Jami works in IT for her day job and is a former high school business teacher. She’s a lifetime Seahawks and Mariners fan and is waiting for the day professional hockey comes to Seattle. An avid boater, Jami has spent countless hours in the San Juan Islands, a common setting in her books. In her opinion, it’s the most beautiful place on earth.
