Evelyn has moved back home after finding her partner cheating on her with their best friends. She never expected to meet someone at the bachelorette party she was attending, let alone have a one night stand with a man she can’t forget.
Manning is trapped in a sham of a loveless marriage. He has been biding his time for years because of the love he has for his son. Something sparks when he crashes into a woman he cant take his eyes off of and for the first time in years, Manning does something for himself.
It was supposed to be one night but fate had other plans for Manning and Evelyn!
I wasn’t sure about this book at first because I don’t enjoy books with cheating, but Manning’s marriage is beyond repair. He is such a good guy, always putting his son first. I loved seeing him get some spark back once he met Evelyn and had something more to live for! And, Evelyn is simply the sweetest and most caring woman. I loved that she doesn’t want to be the homewrecker even if the marriage is loveless and puts others needs before her own. They really were perfect for each other!
How things go down is an absolute soap opera and truly amazing to watch play out. I also loved that the story didn’t end with the drama and readers got to see into what happens when Murielle is no longer calling the shots.
Sweet, emotional, very sexy and drama filled, Only One Night was a highly entertaining book! 4.5 stars
As captain of the Dallas Oilers, I was their leader on and off the ice. From the outside, it looked like I had the perfect life.
I was married to a woman who refused to give me a divorce. All she wanted was the status title, and all I wanted was to be set free.
It was supposed to be just another event, except it took a turn I didn’t see coming.
Attending my best friend’s bachelorette party isn’t something I was looking forward to.
But it’s strange what a couple of glasses of wine will do.
It was one night, and I thought I would never see him again.
Especially not coming face-to-face with him and his wife while picking up my nephew from hockey practice.
All it takes is one kiss, one touch, one chance, and only one night.
When her nose isn’t buried in a book, or her fingers flying across a keyboard writing, she’s in the kitchen creating gourmet meals. You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips. It’s a good thing her characters do what she says, because even her Labrador doesn’t listen to her…
