That’s What She Said Thursday – Eden Murphy – “Give Me a Reason” by A.L. Jackson

That’s What He Said is a meme hosted by @Chapter Break. Here’s the deal: every Thursday, post a line from your book boyfriend to his heroine. Keep in mind, these are direct quotes from dialog in the books. The quote doesn’t have to be romantic – it can be anything spoken by a book boyfriend.

This week I’m switching things up!  This character spoke to me so much that I couldn’t ignore it and decided to give this amazing quote a day to shine . . . so today is That’s What SHE Said!

This is a couple that shouldn’t work in any way, yet they seem to fill in the holes and jagged pieces of the other.  Even though she has experienced heartbreak, Eden radiates goodness.  And Trent’s past is dark ugly.

Trent doesn’t want to be that man anymore and just needs to find someone who sees who he is now and not what he was forced to be in the past . . . and Eden just may be that person!

“Give Me a Reason” by A.L. Jackson

Eden Murphy came into my club looking to make some extra cash.

A girl like her didn’t belong in a place like this.

She’d get ripped to shreds.

Most likely by me.

There’s nothing but sweetness dripping from her sexy little body, and I’m the monster who’s salivating to get a taste.

Trent Lawson is the last man I should want.

Dark.

Dangerous.

So wickedly gorgeous he makes my knees weak.

He’s also an arrogant jerk who happens to be my new boss.

When I discover his adorable son is also in my kindergarten class, I know I have to keep my distance.

But neither of us can ignore the attraction that flames.

One glance, and our hearts race.

One touch, and we’re aching for what we can’t have.

One night, and we’re falling fast.

Dragging her into my sordid world is wrong.

It doesn’t matter.

Eden Murphy is mine.

Leave a comment letting me know what you think about Eden Murphy!  I’d also love to know about any other great romances that should be on my TBR.

Happy Reading!
